📏 Coverage Rules of Thumb
- 1 gallon covers ~350–400 sq ft (1 coat)
- Wall paint: always calculate 2 coats (primer + paint or 2 finish coats)
- Doors & windows: subtract ~20 sq ft each
- Ceiling: add length × width separately
- Trim: ~1 gallon per 100 linear feet
